Title: Absolute Entropic Architecture
Name: Jaeduk Seo
The project unfolds through four phases under the order of Theory and Practice. Only the scale changes. The same principles and methodology remain. Motivation and Inspiration, Blurriness to Isolation, Act of Construction, and Absolute Entropic Architecture.
The project deliberately distances itself from conventional ways. Here, contradictions erupt. Human beings construct. Human beings practise. Human beings contradict themselves. Architecture appears to have inherited the same condition.
Somewhere beyond the reach of reason and sensibility, contradictions take form. Something seems to linger there. Architecture, perhaps. And perhaps that is enough. Perhaps all that remains is to attend to that place and practise architecture from within it. From there, New Mexico, the desert, the program, the typology itself no longer seem important.
I have no courage to resist its current. Perhaps architecture is merely a way of being practised by human beings. Or perhaps it is a way of enduring. No certainty remains. Yet there seems to be little else to do but continue. To continue making. To continue practising. To continue, for no particular reason. Much like architecture itself.

The project is a revival and a redefinition of the essence of architecture. It is also a tribute to the process through which it is pursued. Nothing more seems necessary. There seems to be no room for political, philosophical, aesthetic, or social agendas. The notions of essence and purity have become increasingly faint. Perhaps they always were. Even so, the project returns to them once again. Much like architecture itself.
